Jersey Registry API Tools
Sep 17, 2020
The Jersey Registry has unveiled its program to introduce a new Company Registry Portal and a set of APIs to enable machine to machine update of the Company Register information including the requirements for annual validation of registered entities.
The Registry has an ambition to roll out the new portal and API facilities by the end of the year in time for Company Validations in the new year.
Fusion will be extending its existing Jersey Registry API tool used for Beneficial Ownership filing (fb-JBOR) to accommodate the new facilities and is presently consulting with new and existing customers about the style of functionality required.
The API facilities being offered build on the technical framework of the Jersey Registry’s first API and with Fusion’s proven existing app, deployment of new functions will be straight forward.
Alan Rowe, Managing Director of Fusion Systems comments “We really like the direction that the Jersey Registry is moving in as this type of automation will be more efficient and reduce costs associated with the maintaining accurate records at the Registry. It is an initiative to be applauded and will improve Jersey’s competitiveness as a jurisdiction of choice whilst also enabling Jersey to further strengthen its position in the fight against financial crime.”
More challenging, particularly to Trust and Company service providers, will be the changes required to their business processes to facilitate automated update and filing of data by implementing appropriate controls and approvals in the submission and update process. This is where Fusion expects to bring our experience in delivering these types of solutions to bear.
